Frequently asked

Frequently asked questions about websites, AI automation and pricing

These are 15 questions clients actually ask us — about pricing, funding, how a project runs, where the data sits and what happens after launch. Every question has its own address, so you can link to a single answer instead of sending someone down a long page.

Every number here is calculated, not typed — prices come from the configurator catalogue, funding rates from the funding guide. Change one there and it changes here. This page is not advice: what your project really costs depends on its scope.

How much does a website cost?#

Honest answer: it depends on scope. A custom one-pager comes to roughly €2,500–4,000, a multi-page business website to roughly €4,500–6,500, and AI automations and platforms accordingly more. Every price includes a €800 base fee covering setup, project management and handover. These figures show the Business level. The Premium level sits well above it and adds a dedicated discovery phase, individual design including motion, three revision rounds instead of one, and six months of warranty instead of three. Rather than forcing you into a call first, we simply show you: the price configurator puts both levels side by side and works out your range in 2 minutes – no commitment, no sign-up. All amounts shown are final: exempt from VAT under § 6 (1) 27 of the Austrian VAT Act (small business scheme).

I do not know yet what I need – is that a problem?#

Quite the opposite, that is the normal starting point. You do not need to know whether the answer is a booking system, an automation or simply a better website. Tell us how your day runs and what eats the most time – we will do the translating. The biggest saving is often in the place you would never have thought of yourself.

Which industries do you work with?#

All of them. Founders and sole traders, freelancers, mid-sized businesses, associations, federations and foundations – from trades to consulting to retail to education. The industry does not decide whether we can help; what matters is whether there is a place where a system saves you time or money. There nearly always is.

Which grants can I actually get right now?#

Three schemes are accepting applications right now. Vienna-based businesses can receive up to 50% of eligible costs (max. €50,000) from the Wirtschaftsagentur Wien on projects from €10,000; the company needs a Vienna business location it has held for at least a year. Upper Austria funds up to 35% via the WKO OÖ (max. €7,000, from €12,000), Carinthia up to 30% via the KWF (max. €10,000, from €10,000) – only for projects with a genuine AI component. Everywhere: the application has to be filed before the project starts, a website or web shop on its own is not eligible, and only one scheme ever counts. Austria-wide schemes such as KMU.DIGITAL are not accepting applications right now — their budget is exhausted. The configurator factors in whatever is open for your location, and we help with the application. The decision always rests with the funding body.

Do you work with clients outside Austria?#

Yes. We are based in Lower Austria and work remotely – the AI check is a call anyway, and everything after it works the same way. Only the grants are tied to a location: the Austrian schemes require a company based in Austria, the Wirtschaftsagentur grant a business location in Vienna.

One person is behind Solaris – what if they are not around?#

The safeguard is built into how we work, not into a promise. Solaris Agent is a sole proprietorship with fixed, independent partners: a second developer also takes on whole projects, sales partners run the conversations. After handover the code and every account belong to you, documented and on a widely used stack (Astro, React, Supabase) – any developer can take over, and everything we build keeps running on your accounts, with or without us. Care is optional and cancellable monthly. Being small here means short lines, not dependence.

How soon can my project go live?#

A one-pager is up in a few weeks, a business website in one to two months, larger platforms depending on scope – the binding date is in the quote. Work starts with your order confirmation, not when a slot opens up in an agency calendar.

How much work is it on my side?#

Less than you would expect: one conversation at the start, then a short round of feedback per stage. We prepare the copy, the imagery and the structure – you correct rather than stare at a blank page. Bring your own material if you have it; if you do not, we provide it.

Can I test your AI beforehand?#

You already are: the chatbot in the corner is our own product – ask it about pricing, funding or services. The price configurator too. We don't sell anything you can't experience live on this page.

Is it clear when an AI is answering?#

Yes, always. Every assistant we build states visibly that it is an AI, and never claims to be human even if asked directly. The EU AI Act has required this since August 2026 – we build it in from the start rather than retrofitting it.

Where is my data stored?#

In the EU. Website and applications run in the Dublin data centre (Ireland), the database is in Ireland as well. No transfer to the US for operations, no tracking cookies, no cookie banner – the details are in the privacy policy.

Do I own the code in the end?#

Yes, entirely. No builder subscription, no agency lock‑in: you get clean, documented code on a modern stack (Astro, React, Supabase) and can continue with any developer at any time – including without us. We're confident you'll stay anyway.

What happens after launch?#

We do not leave you alone with the site – but we do not force anything on you either. Ongoing care is optional and cancellable monthly: Basis from €199 a month for operation, monitoring and bug fixes (hosting and database run on your own accounts); Standard from €449 adding content upkeep, a quality check and a monthly report; Premium from €849 with continuous development and priority support. Or you can run it yourself, since the code is yours.

Can't we just do this ourselves with ChatGPT?#

For individual texts: yes, and you should. What we build is something else: a system that captures your enquiries, turns a conversation into a quote, books appointments and answers from your own documents – around the clock, on your website, in your tone. It identifies itself as an AI, its data stays in the EU, and its answers are checked against a fixed test suite. That is engineering, not chatting – and the configurator tells you the price up front.

What runs automatically – and what does a person approve?#

We define that per workflow before anything is built – in three levels. Automatic is what is unambiguous: filing an enquiry, entering an appointment, storing a receipt. A draft is anything that acts outward – a quote, a reply to a customer – and waits for your approval. And where the system is unsure, it asks instead of acting and puts the case in front of you. Which level applies to which step is written in the quote – and you can move it at any time.

Your question is not here?
