AI chatbot and automation: what does it cost?
A RAG chatbot with your own knowledge base sits at around €4,500–6,500, a single automation — producing quotes, for instance — at around €3,000–4,000. What we build
Custom RAG chatbots that answer from your own documents rather than from the internet — for website visitors or internally. Alongside them, single automations (pre-sorting email, producing quotes, taking appointments, scoring and following up on enquiries) or whole bundles of linked processes. How much a bundle saves depends on how many hours currently go into those processes — the configurator works it out from your own figures.
Where the line runs
What runs automatically, what only arrives as a draft and what you approve is decided per process — by us together, not by the AI. Anything that goes outside or costs money is set to require approval by default. And every assistant we build states visibly that it is an AI and never claims to be human, even when asked; the EU AI Act has required this since August 2026.
How it starts
Not with an order, but with a look at your process: in the AI check we spend 20 minutes on your business, and you get three processes in writing that can be automated today — with effort, benefit and what we explicitly advise against. That becomes the order in which building pays off.

How does the chatbot know what my business does?
From your documents. We build a knowledge base out of what you have — website, price list, manual, FAQ, internal notes — and the bot answers from it. If something is not in there, it is meant to say so – we tune it for that and check its answers against a fixed test suite. New content can be added later without rebuilding it.
Is AI automation eligible for funding?
Often yes — unlike a plain website. Carinthia funds only projects with a genuine AI component, Lower Austria data-driven projects via digi Investition: data, Vienna and Upper Austria fund the digitisation of processes. Everywhere the same rule applies: the application must be filed before the project starts. What is open is in the funding guide.
Where does the data the bot works with sit?
Hosting and database in the EU: application and database run in Ireland. The language model itself processes requests at its provider – for our own assistant that is Anthropic and OpenAI in the US, under standard contractual clauses and without training on your data. Which model answers, and what is transmitted in the process, is recorded in writing per project — details in the privacy policy.
